Sree Hari Vithal Foundation is the prime wing of K G C Hari Vithal Foundation a Registered Public Religious Charitable Trust named after Brahmasree Kuchibhatla Gokarna Chandramouleeswara Hari Vithal –K G C Harivithal -an erudite scholar, eminent educationalist, outstanding administrator, inspiring spiritual leader and above all a quintessential humanist. He awakened several thousands of people into the glory of Indian Spiritual Culture by his enthralling discourses and enchanting expositions of the distilled essence of Indian Scriptures from 1970’s through 1990s. Bestowed with versatile scholarship, authoritative knowledge, unparalleled linguistic felicity in Sanskrit, English and Telugu, with his insightful imports, exemplifications of the eternal values for the changing society, he has inspired people of all hues and ages. He has extraordinary capacity to transform profundity to simplicity. With his lucid and eclectic interpretations, exceptional exponentiations of the ‘Sanaatana Dharma’ befitting the modern idiom, he has indeeddemystified the eleusinian scriptures, thus far confined as secret doctrines only to the esoteric.
Sree Hari Vithal’s repertoire spanned a plethora of subjects- powerfully expounding the Scriptures, Upanishads, Epics, and Theosophy on one hand, Management, Leadership development etc on the other. His works have imbued fresh curiosity, rekindled and reignited great interest of many in the splendor of the veritable gold mines of Indian scriptures. His acknowledged mastery, resonating conviction, and strikingly simplified approach gave tremendous impetus to thousands to listen, read, explore and adapt the maxims of Indian way of living. His very name conjured up a splendid image of ushering in profound spiritual renaissance through the state of Andhra Pradesh through the 1970s-90s.
A student of science by education, he distinguished himself as the University topper in his B.Sc (Honors) as well the University First and Gold Medalist in his M.Sc., Zoology at Andhra University. He was selected for the AP Educational Service as a Lecturer in Zoology, got promoted as the Head of the Department and Principal of SRR & CVR Government College and became the Regional Joint Director –Higher Education at Rajahmundry and Warangal with Govt. of Andhra Pradesh. During four decades of his educationalist career he endeavored to transform several government colleges into true academic institutions and temples of learning. He had adorned exalted positions with grace and élan, managed his responsibilities with absolute dedication and commitment, and chiseled several hundreds of students into great personalities.
Sri Hari Vithal right in his teens was initiated by His Holiness Sree Chandrsekharendra Saraswathi Maha Swami of Sree Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham, and on the divine ordination of the His Holiness, set himself on the mission of transmitting Sree Vishnu Sahasranaamam across the length and breadth of the country. His later spiritual sojourn has progressed through his life under his ardent discipleship of Master EK. Sri. Hari Vithal’s Magnum Opus and trail blazing lectures on spiritual applications of ‘Sree Vishnu Sahasra Naamam’ and ‘Sree Lalitha Sahasra Naamam’ dispelled the myths in many that the Mantra Sastras are only meant for pursuit of the other world.His path breaking works left their indelible footprints throughout the state of Andhra Pradesh, Chennai, and parts of TN, Mumbai, Orissa, West Bengal and a few countries abroad. Though Sri Hari Vithal’s pioneering quest, inventive experiments and illustrious work spanned a wide array and large expanse of themes, as Sri Jayendra Saraswathi aptly called him,he became eponymous with Sree Vishnu Sahasranaamam.
Sri Hari Vithal has endeared himself to His Holiness Sree Tridandi Sreemannrayana Ramanuja Jeer swamy by his works and envisioning “ Sree Vishnu Sahasranaama Viraat Paraayana” wherein for the first time in history , more than One Lakh devotees chanted in unison the Thousand glorious Names of Lord Vishnu at the PWD Grounds Vijayawada.Sri Hari Vithal ‘s predominant work, programs and initiatives were around his passion d’etre’ Sree Vishnu Sahasranama, his life mission -propagation and transmission of the sublime splendor of Sree Vishnu Sahasranaamam across the country have elevated him to Iconic status. His life and works epitomize the true meaning of ‘Yajnartha Karma’.
